VII. Hungarian Language-Study Competition

Once again, this year (February- 13- 2010.) we held the Hungarian language competition, for the seventh time.
Even though the weather was inclement, we were able to began the test as planned, because everyone arrived on time. Every educational-locale was represented, from every age-group, by at least, one competitor.

Many of them utilized the allocated time, for the assignments were quite difficult. While the multitude of children and their teachers had lunch, the "Correcting-Committee" proceeded to do their job, behind closed doors. It is interesting, that this year, Pógár Gabriella, from Magyarfalú, a college student, (for kindergarten-teacher) who herself has taken part, in the 2004 competition, as a competitor. Many thanks, to Ferencz Lilla, Mihálydeák Adél
Hungarian teachers, Krabót Emőke, Újházy Anna and Pógár Gabriella, college-students also, our colleague Rosu Anna, who supervised and corrected the competitors. We also thank, the Szent-Györgyi Albert Rotary-Club of Szeged, for securing the prizes. The "Godparents" or "Keresztszülők" provided for travel and food expenses.
The Fornetti-Company provided the breakfast, so that the children will have enough energy, for the 3 hour long competition. The special-guest of the competition, Bucur Iulian, Museum-curator, from Bákó, who greeted the excited competitors and encouraged them, at the same time, when he handed out the prizes, to study and use their ancestors language, since no one else can do it, and thus, they could lose this flavourful, ancient language.
